Elisha Stanley’s Bio

Elisha Stanley is a care coordinator for MBI Health Services. MBI Health services is a Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (Core Service Agency) program, pursuant to DC DMH) certification.

Ms. Elisha Stanley is from Pittsburgh Pa but has been in Washington DC for over 25 years. In 2015 she received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She is currently a student at the University of Phoenix working on her 2nd master’s degree in Community Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Health which will be completed in February 2018. She currently has a 3.75 GPA. She received a certification for co-occurring disorders through Department of Behavioral Health in 2016.

Ms. Stanley was a victim of sexual assault and by finding a way to remove the stigma of sexual assault and domestic violence, Elisha learned that she was not alone and she could work towards a road to wellness.

Ms. Stanley is working on getting her LPC to become a licensed professional counselor. Ms. Stanley is also a volunteer WRAP Facilitator and is working towards becoming an Advanced level facilitator some time soon. Ms. Stanley maintains her wellness by utilizing her own Wellness Recovery Action Plan. Through her WRAP plan Elisha has learned the concept of total wellness recognizes that our every thought, word, and behavior affects our greater health and well-being. And we, in turn, are affected not only emotionally but also physically and spiritually.

When Elisha is not working she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family.
